One of the first signs spring is soon going to give way to summer is an abundance of dasies all around us. And what better way to celebrate the start of the warmer months than making some daisy chains.
What you’ll need:
- Dasies
Start by finding a patch of grass filled with dasies. It can be your local park, at the side of the road, or simply in your own back garden.
Next you’ll need to pick some daises and create your chain. This takes a bit of patience as you need to create a hole in the stem of the daisy. The longer the stems you have, the quicker your chain will take shape. You can use your thumbnails to create the hole in the stem.
Once you have the hole, you’ll need to thread the stem of the next daisy through that, and contine the process, making a new hole in the new stem.

When your chain is as long as you’d like it to be, you can leave it there, or alternatively you can connect the end daises to make a round chain. You can use this as a bracelet, a necklace, or any kind of decoration you like. Your imagination is the only limit!

(Un)willing family members also make fantastic models for you to try our your daisy chains on.

We look forward to hearing what you get up to with your daisy creations!
